Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Health and Safety Administrator for our client \xe2\x80\x93 they are industry leaders in fibre optic technology within the Oil & Gas sector. This part-time role will be responsible for the company health, safety and environmental program. Responsibilities include,

• Maintaining accurate records and data, updating as necessary to comply with internal and government regulation
• Ensuring that documentation related to employees, contractors, and equipment is up to date as part of HSE program
• Maintaining company HSE accounts through ISN, Avetta, Veriforce
• Supporting with incident investigations, subsequent reporting, determining corrective actions and following through to ensure improvement / compliance where necessary
• Providing reports for clients and internal stakeholders as required
• Overseeing pre-qualification of new contractors
• Scheduling and facilitating meetings, safety training, etc.
• Conducting field/site inspections and internal audits, assisting with external audits as required
• Managing safety requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Conducting health and safety orientations for new hires
• Arranging crew accommodations with our hotel partners
• Providing general safety support to management and crew

Qualifications include,

• Previous experience in Health and Safety is preferred
• Experience in the Construction or Energy industries an asset
• Must have experience with ISNetworld
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent planning, organization, time-management skills
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and reprioritize throughout the day
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can communicate with staff at all levels of the organization
• Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract
• Must be willing to travel for site visits as required
