We are seeking a dedicated Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering quality meals to our guests. Your duties involve overseeing a restaurant's kitchen, planning the menu, inventory management and maintaining the budget.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations before and after service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, responsible for all ordering as needed.
Lead kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Menu planning and development, creative ideas for new dishes.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and lead the team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
