B'Spoke Kitchen & Market is at the forefront of new and growing restaurant takeout and delivery trends, combining and expanding classic dine-in hospitality and high-quality food with an equally high-quality delivery and takeout experience.

We offer several restaurants from a single kitchen, allowing our guests to enjoy according to their tastes. We offer a B'Spoke experience, allowing our guests to customize their order how they like it, by offering the chance to order entrees, sides, and desserts.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the role of Head Chef and Kitchen Manager at our restaurant and virtual kitchen in downtown Barrie.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be prepared to participate and assist in the following:

adapting the kitchen and equipment to the needs of new menus menu development across several brands and menus organizing and establishing systems - setting the restaurant up for long term success and growth cost menu items, establish and maintain food cost budgets build inventory lists and complete inventories at regular intervals build and maintain a team of top performers, schedule to labour budgets and achieve retention and spending targets establish and maintain supplier relationships and needs develop order guides, prep lists develop and maintain safe food handling, cleaning and storage procedures interview and hire staff as needed
As a successful candidate, you will look at the above list and be excited at the opportunity. You will be confident in your ability to establish strong and clear systems. You are organized, methodical, concise and meticulous.

Qualifications

:

3+ years previous restaurant supervision or management experience in a similar environment Proficiency in English verbal and written communication Strength and experience in developing systems such as prep/par lists, opening/closing duties, etc. Basic math and problem solving skills. Ability to understand and deliver on the financial goals of the business. People skills - work well with others, helping them learn and develop new skills - a strong coach and guide, able to motivate and encourage excellence Strong understanding of scheduling and labour management tactics to both maintain a healthy and positive work environment while balancing the the spending restraints of the business High attention to detail - able to understand how to prioritize guest and team member experience to always deliver high quality in everything we do Smart Serve, Safe Food Handlers, First Aid, WHMIS, etc - certifications are an asset.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
