As a Head Cook, you will be a pivotal member of our culinary team, utilizing your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service to oversee the kitchen operations and ensure high-quality meal preparation. Your experience in the food industry and kitchen settings will be instrumental in maintaining efficiency and upholding food safety standards. Additionally, your premium skill in serving will enhance your ability to lead by example and provide guidance to kitchen staff. With a focus on communication and a high school diploma or GED, you will lead our kitchen team to success by delivering delicious meals and exceptional service to our customers.

Full job description:

Restaurant

Tasks

Establish methods to meet work schedules

Requisition food and kitchen supplies

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

Address customers' complaints or concerns

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

Establish work schedules along side F&B manager

opening Cafe/kitchen in the morning

closeing cafe/kitchen end of day

Onsite housing available for this position.

Experience/Requirements

2 to 3 years in kitchen management position

BC foodsafe certificate lv1

BC Serving it right

experience in ordering and menu pricing and asset

GED or post secondary education and asset

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4.5 months

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
