(FCRCC) is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary Vancouver paddling club dedicated to providing training and racing opportunities in various paddle sports. Our mission is to foster excellence in paddling for all members through volunteer-driven programs.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Coach to lead our training programs at False Creek Racing Canoe Club in Vancouver. This role is pivotal in shaping the athletic journey of our members, ensuring they achieve their best in competitive paddling while fostering a supportive community.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for athletes of all levels Lead and motivate team members during practices and competitions Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback Organize and oversee club events and competitions Collaborate with volunteers to enhance club activities Ensure adherence to safety protocols during training sessions Foster a positive team environment that encourages growth and teamwork Engage with the community to promote the club's mission and values.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in paddle sports or similar disciplines Strong background in teaching physical education or related fields Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire athletes Lifeguard certification is a plus but not mandatory Experience working with students or youth programs is preferred Ability to manage behavior effectively within a team setting Passion for promoting health, fitness, and teamwork.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
