Job Overview

ACE Pickleball in Vaughan is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pickleball Head Coach to lead the development, delivery, and growth of all pickleball programming. This includes overseeing tournaments, leagues, drop-ins, clinics, and competitive play pathways. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can balance hands-on coaching with the ability to organize and run large-scale events.

This position reports directly to the Director of Racquet Sports and will work closely with them to ensure programs and tournaments align with the club's vision and high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Tournament & League Leadership

Plan, organize, and run pickleball tournaments, leagues, and ladders. Manage competitive operations using PickleballTournaments.com and DUPR. Oversee tournament logistics: player registration, seeding, draws, and match-day execution. Build and maintain a yearly tournament calendar to engage players at all levels.

Program Development & Coaching

Design and deliver engaging clinics, instructional programs, and drop-in sessions for all skill levels. Offer private and group lessons that support player development and enjoyment of the game. Maintain consistency and quality across all pickleball programming.

Community & Collaboration

Act as the face of pickleball at the club, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. Work closely with the Director of Racquet Sports to align pickleball offerings with overall racquet sports programming. Promote club memberships, programs, and events to grow participation.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience as a pickleball coach and/or tournament organizer (preferred). Strong knowledge of tournament and league operations. Familiarity with DUPR ratings, PickleballTournaments.com, and event management platforms. Pickleball coaching certification. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse player groups. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and tournament days as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
