PAC is seeking a dynamic, experienced leader to serve as the inaugural Head Coach for our U18 AAA program. This individual will be responsible for building a competitive team culture, developing elite athletes, and representing PAC's values on and off the ice.
Key Responsibilities:
o
Lead all aspects of team operations: practices, games, tournaments, and off-ice development.
o
Develop and implement a comprehensive seasonal plan focused on skill development, systems, and conditioning.
o
Foster a positive, disciplined, and competitive environment aligned with PAC's mission.
o
Collaborate with PAC leadership on player recruitment, selection, and advancement.
o
Ensure compliance with Hockey Alberta and Hockey Canada regulations.
o
Manage assistant coaches, trainers, and support staff.
o
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and stakeholders.
o
Promote academic success and personal growth for athletes.
Qualifications:
o
Minimum High Performance 1 (HP1)certification (or willingness to obtain).
o
Proven experience coaching at U18 AAA, Junior, or equivalent elite level.
o
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
o
Ability to mentor athletes and staff.
o
Knowledge of modern hockey systems, analytics, and player development strategies.
o
Commitment to PAC's values: integrity, respect, and excellence.
Assets:
o
Playing experience at Junior, College, or Professional level.
o
Experience with video analysis and technology integration.
o
Strong network within elite hockey circles.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.
