We serve until 2am every night, and we've built a strong reputation among both the neighborhood crowd and Toronto's hospitality industry. Our menu brings a culinary lens to bar food -- creative small plates, shareables, and elevated classics designed to complement our cocktail program.

The Role

We are looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate Watson's food experience. This is a leadership role that requires both creativity and consistency -- someone who thrives in a high-volume, late-night environment, and understands how to balance innovation with execution.

Responsibilities

Lead menu development with a focus on elevated bar food that pairs well with cocktails. Consistently bring creativity and passion into the kitchen by developing new dishes, seasonal updates, and exciting features. Manage prep, consistency, and quality standards across all services. Train, motivate, and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Oversee food costs, ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Collaborate with ownership and management to create seasonal menu updates, special event menus, and canapes for private events.
What We're Looking For

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a leadership role (Sous Chef or higher). Strong culinary background with proven creativity and a passion for developing new dishes. Ability to manage both a la carte and high-volume event service. A natural leader who sets the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and positivity in the kitchen. Financial understanding of food cost, labor cost, and ordering systems. Someone passionate about hospitality -- who sees food not just as a product, but as part of the full guest experience.
