About the Role
As
Head Chef
at Poppy's, you'll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation and team leadership to cost management and menu execution. You'll work closely with ownership and management to ensure consistency, uphold high standards, and create memorable dining experiences for every guest.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who values quality, efficiency, and teamwork -- and is ready to take the next step in their culinary career.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Kitchen:
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and attention to detail in every dish.
Develop and Inspire:
Train, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to perform at their best.
Maintain Standards:
Ensure full compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and health regulations.
Manage Operations:
Oversee ordering, inventory, and cost controls to achieve financial goals.
Collaborate:
Work with ownership and the management team on menu development and seasonal features.
Foster Culture:
Build a positive, organized, and professional kitchen environment that encourages growth and teamwork.

What You Bring
Minimum
3 years of leadership experience
in a full-service or upscale restaurant.
Strong understanding of
French or European-inspired cuisine
.
Proven ability to manage costs, inventory, and kitchen staff effectively.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
A hands-on approach with a passion for consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
