The Head Counsellor works closely with the Camp Coordinator to support our counsellor team and keep camp running smoothly. You'll act as a point of contact for counsellors needing help with behaviour challenges, parent communication, activity transitions, or daily logistics. You'll also help create a supportive atmosphere where campers feel included and staff feel confident and equipped.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping kids have a memorable, meaningful summer.
Responsibilities:
Support the counsellor team throughout the summer.
Help ensure programming is running smoothly.
Assist with behaviour management.
Communicate with parents when needed, with professionalism and care.
Ensure camper safety and uphold Camp Quest policies and standards.
Help create a positive, inclusive environment for staff and campers.
Pitch in with camp-wide tasks such as preparing materials, organizing equipment, or supporting activities.
Quali?cations:
Energetic, reliable, and excited about working with children.
Experience in camps, childcare, or leadership roles is an asset.
Standard First aid & CPR
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments.
Requirements
Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check. (18+)
