The Life of a Harvest Lab Technician:

• Collecting wine and juice samples from tanks or barrels.
• Assist Lab Technicians with performing pH, TA, Brix, and nutritional analysis on grape and juice samples.
• Perform wine analysis using equipment such as Foss, auto-titrator, bench top chemistry analyzers, pH meter, and DO meter.
• Assist lab team with bottling preparation and QC check.
• Use and maintain standard laboratory equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
• Must be willing to work long and irregular hours during peak harvest season.

• Completed or enrolled in a related degree or diploma (e.g., Food science, oenology) or related discipline
• Harvest lab experience is an asset: including chemical and microbiological testing
• Basic wet chemistry and enzymatic analysis for juice, must and wine
• Attention to detail
• Understands the HACCP environment or other related food safety programs
• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word and Excel

• HPLC and GC knowledge and experience an asset
• Courses in enology or familiarity with winemaking and an appreciation of wine
