About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Discipline Technologist Instrumentation located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).

The Hardware Discipline Technologist Instrumentation provides specialized instrumentation support and solutions for project teams, operations and maintenance. Understands and implements Most Effective Technology (MET), work process, tools and industry best practices within their discipline. Hardware Disciplines support both projects and technical support teams as a Designer for their discipline on projects. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures drawings and specifications are clear and meet the needs of the business.
• Ensures inspection and maintenance records are maintained within electronic system.
• Ensures, where providing inspections, reviews are completed on time and that drawings and specifications are followed by fabricators, constructors and maintenance contractors.
• Ensures safety in design.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2 year diploma (i.e. Associate\'s Degree, Vocational Program) OR 4+ years of military experience.
• A minimum of 2 years hardware, manufacturing or other related experience.
• A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position
