Position Type: Contract, Full-time (4 months)
Location: Toronto, Canada
We are looking for a Hardware Designer - Technical Specialist for our client in North York. This is a hybrid 4 month contract.
- Demonstrating a high degree of initiative, and resourcefulness in solving problems.
- Good understanding of SelTrac signal plans and SelTrac Radio equipment.
- Demonstrating an advanced level of logical reasoning resulting in effective hardware application designs, products and processes.
- Interpreting and the ability to write Requirements.
- Preparing specifications for hardware and/or software components.
- Proficient with the use of development tools, CAD packages (Microstation, AutoCAD)
- Selecting an appropriate design approach
- Maximizing use of existing design.
- In possession or previously possessed Thales CMS Designer or Principles License
- Post secondary Technologist diploma or Electrical Engineering degree
- 8 - 12 years related work experience
- Computer literate with knowledge of CAD tools (Microstation, AutoCad), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, Thales (Clearquest), and Microsoft Office suite.
- Good interpersonal and technical writing skill
