We are hiring a
Harbour Master
to join our growing team of skilled hospitality specialists and marine professionals!
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe mooring of vessels and general operations of the dock by facilitating and assisting in coordinating the arrival and departure of vessels, maintaining a safe and clean environment and acting as a liaison between customers and the marina management team. The candidate must be comfortable around boats and large bodies of water.
Schedule: 30-40 hours per week. In the peak months it is an early start and a late finish depending on need.

- Ensuring every guest receives a high-end customer experience
- Must work evening and weekends
-Welcome slip holders and/or visitors in a manner which expresses a welcoming, courteous and professional manner
-Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, ramp ways, grounds, equipment and other areas designated by the marina manager
-Perform daily trash removal and dispose of as directed
-Assists in marina related duties such as securing boats to docks, connecting and utility services (power and water), and facility sanitation
Job Requirements:
Boating know-how and experience is an asset
A Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification an asset
Boat Smart Certification
Must be computer proficient
Must have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Stand, sit or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift
Must be able to operate a VHF Radio
Must be organized and neat with a highly professional work ethic and appearance;
Must be energetic, dynamic, outgoing, personable and polite. Enjoys dealing with the public. Friendly positive personality.
Must be highly customer service oriented, must exhibit exceptional proactive customer service skills.
Must be able to work without supervision.
Must be comfortable working around the water. Must be able to swim well.
First aid / CPR and water safety an asset.
Boat handling / driving experience an asset.
Cash handling and credit/debit card processing experience an asset.
Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions i.e. hot and cold or rainy.
Police Background check required.
This is a relocation position where you will live and work in our community year round.
