Department Overview

The Global Futures Operations team is looking for a high functioning individual to lead Global Futures Operations desk with the desire to develop innovative and strategic solutions. The candidate should have proven influencing, relationship management and client interaction skills. The team is directly involved with internal trade desks across TD Securities trade desks in Toronto, London, New York and Singapore.

The main thrust of the role is to integrate a new books and records system, identify and execute on process enhancements and improve client service levels while reducing risk. This opportunity will give the successful candidate the chance to flex your knowledge and experience in a dynamic environment.

• Develop and maintain sound working relationships with our internal trades around the globe.
• Overall accountability and governance of cash breaks and monthly reporting.
• Set priorities and goals for team in both workflow and technology integration.
• Oversee SOX audit reporting and represent on behalf of operations.
• Liaise with executing brokers for management of commission billing and to introduce efficiencies.
• Conduct performance reviews and ongoing 1 on 1 to maintain the pulse of the team. Team consists of five operations analysts providing cash flow and reconciliation management.
• Guide team with unified vision for accountability and opportunity.
• Provide metrics for business to identify bottlenecks.
• Act as face of operations with custodians and internal partners.
• Role is hybrid with 2-3 days weekly in office

Job Requirements

• Ideally 6-8 years of progressive experience within capital markets, preferably in the Futures operations space. The role requires in-depth Intimate knowledge of broker execution and custodial settlement worfklows.
• Working knowledge of order management systems.
• Technical skills in automation including data analytics. High level understanding of capabilities of Tableau, Alteryx, Python and UI Path.

Education/Accreditations

• University or college degree in STEM related field.
• Futures Securities accreditation is an asset.
