Department Overview

The Global Futures Operations team is looking for a high functioning individual to provide leadership to a team of analysts while introducing innovative and strategic solutions. The candidate should have proven history of relationship management and client interaction skills. There is direct interaction with internal trade desks across TD Securities including our offices in Toronto, Calgary, London, New York and Singapore.

The main thrust of the role is to integrate a new books and records system, identify and execute on process enhancements and improve client service levels while reducing risk. This opportunity will give the successful candidate the chance to flex your knowledge and experience in a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements

• Ideally 5-8 years of progressive experience within capital markets, preferably in the Futures Operations space or similar. The role requires in-depth knowledge of broker execution and custodial life cycle of trade settlement workflows.
• Working knowledge of order management systems.
• Technical skills in automation including data analytics. Nice to haves are comfort with capabilities of Tableau, Alteryx, Python and UI Path.

Education/Accreditations

• University or college degree in STEM or similar field.
• Futures Securities accreditation is an asset.

• Develop and maintain sound working relationships with our internal stakeholders around the globe.
• Set priorities and goals for team in both workflow and technology integration.
• Act as face of the operations team with custodians and internal partners.
• Guide and coach team with unified vision for accountability and opportunity.
• Conduct performance reviews to maintain the pulse of the team. Team consists of five operations analysts providing cash flow and reconciliation management.
• Liaise with executing brokers for management of commission billing function.
• Have comfort in providing metrics and working with large amounts of data.
• Ensuring all trades are accurately recorded, confirmed and settled in a timely manner.
• Providing of monthly reporting and acting and providing SOX audit requests as needed.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and regulations.
• Role is hybrid with 2-3 days weekly in office
