McMan is looking for a DBT Group Facilitator and Coach to join our team providing mental health counselling and consultation. This clinician will enjoy facilitating groups and have a strong interest and existing knowledge base of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). This is an in-person role in Calgary, Alberta. Working with individuals and families you will provide clinical consultation to agency staff, staff debriefs following crisis situations, as well as creating and delivering education presentations within the agency. This role will also facilitate dialectical behavior therapy skills training to internal and external clients. You will: \xc2\xb7 Facilitate DBT Skills Training with groups adhering to the DBT Skills Training manual and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services to our customers \xc2\xb7 Ensure that the DBT Skills Training groups are adapted to the presented needs and interests of the participants through weekly preparation and session reviews \xc2\xb7 Manage disruptive and/or challenging group behaviors using a validating and strength-based approach \xc2\xb7 Promote the suite of additional services and groups to customers, including individual sessions when appropriate \xc2\xb7 Provide individual DBT Skills coaching sessions for customers that request additional support \xc2\xb7 Support the operations and evaluation of group services through timely and accurate reporting, distribution of evaluations, and customer follow up \xc2\xb7 Communicate with group members outside of group when necessary \xc2\xb7 Recommend customers to appropriate community resources and services when applicable \xc2\xb7 Provide individual and facilitated services through a culturally sensitive and inclusive lens \xc2\xb7 Develop a client centered helping relationship that aligns with the values of the organization \xc2\xb7 Maintain registration and good standing with your professional accrediting body \xc2\xb7 Attend training and development sessions when required You Have: \xc2\xb7 Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology and be registered with the appropriate accrediting body \xc2\xb7 Completed the DBT Skills Training course through Behavioral Tech, or willing to complete course \xc2\xb7 Experience personally using DBT skills in your everyday life \xc2\xb7 Experience facilitating mental health groups with teens and young adults \xc2\xb7 Knowledge and training in trauma informed practice McMan provides a solid blend of an extensive benefit plan, generous time off allowances, and the opportunity to contribute to the community at large.
