We are seeking individuals interested in the role of
Group Controller
at
Rafih Auto Group
. The Group Controller is responsible for the overall financial management, accounting operations, and financial reporting for Rafih Auto Group. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive financial statements, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and maximize profitability across all dealerships within the group. The Group Controller also plays a key role in developing and leading the accounting team.
Job Qualifications:
BA in Accounting
MA in Accounting or MBA
CPA
5+ years experience as automotive dealership industry CFO or Controller
Experience in buy/sell transactions
Team player mindset and willingness to collaborate
Willing to take responsibility and act independently when necessary
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results
PC proficient is essential. CDK experience is preferred
Job Requirements:
Experience managing general office/accounting at dealerships preferred
Experience with automotive environments and service centers
Some knowledge of asset management (land/building)
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization
Deliver in-depth auto industry knowledge
Prepare and/or review financial statements
Act as an industry expert and technical accounting resource
Provide consulting relative to business transactions
Develop and lead staff as demand grows
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities
Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, provincial and local regulatory laws and rules
