The Grounds Maintenance Attendance job opening is located at 409 2, Gananoque, ON with 1000 Islands RV Centre a subsidiary company of Leisure Days RV Group. Roles and Responsibilities
Contract length: 8 months Salary: From $20.00 per hour Benefits:
Expected start date: 2023-03-20
- Ensuring that customers are enjoying an immaculately clean and flawlessly functioning campground.
- Greeting guests throughout the park
- Washing picnic tables, weeding, litter pick up, deliver firewood.
- Cutting and trimming lawn, trimming trees, hedge trimming, garbage and debris collection, firewood cutting.
- General maintenance, repairs, cleaning, minor painting
- Maintaining cleanliness of camp bathrooms, office, and public areas
- On-Call for campers\xe2\x80\x99 inquiries, late arrivals and the odd time, noise complaint
- Machine care and record keeping, supply tracking and stocking, supply pick-up (locally)
- Planting grass, trees, shrubs, or flowers according to instructions and planned design of landscaped area, using hand tools, and applying mulch to designated areas.
- Pulling weeds around bushes, trees and flower beds.
- Repairing and painting benches, tables, guardrails and may assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings and mechanical equipment using hand tools.
- Performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks.
- Assisting other departments in all projects/services as directed.
- Various other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor/management

- Strong work ethic, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team, and to follow a supervisor\xe2\x80\x99s instructions, and tolerate certain levels of stress.
- Ability to operate machinery such as mowers, trimmers, or chain saw
- Ability to learn quickly and to understand and communicate written instructions.
- Ability to use arithmetic to measure, compute number of materials to use, and to inspect product to be sure it confirms to requirements.
- Work outside for long periods of time and in all kinds of weather, performing tasks that require physical strength and endurance.
- Understand and follow instructions and specifications.
- Adjust to doing the same kind of work all day long or performing a variety of different tasks on the same day, depending on daily business needs.
- Work skillfully with hands to do a variety of tasks.
- A clear criminal background check, and a valid full driver\'s license with driver\'s abstract - could be required.
