Our school district is seeking a dedicated Landscape Horticulturalist to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, care, and maintenance of our school playfields, playgrounds, fences, gates, goal posts, and sports equipment. You will ensure these areas are not only visually appealing but also safe and well-maintained for all school activities.

Help us create inviting, functional spaces for students, faculty, and the community to enjoy.Job Duties Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or designate, you will be responsible for the design, layout, installation and maintenance of the School District grounds and associated equipment. Designs, installs, alters and maintains all grounds related facilities, including playfields, playgrounds, gardens, landscaping and all of the associated infrastructure. Designs, installs and maintains irrigation systems.Installs and maintains playfield and playground components such as fences, gates, goal posts, basketball hoops and playground equipment using site plans and working drawings.Operates equipment, vehicles, trucks, and tractors, with or without attachments and/or in combination with trailer units.Recommends for approval and purchases all grounds related materials.Assists in determining, altering, and administering a "District Grounds Program."Directs, advises, or assists other employees as required.Prepares design/layout and cost estimates for grounds projects.Prepares and applies pesticides and other chemicals in accordance with the current Pesticide Control Act and trade practices for the control of weeds, undesirable growth, and pests.Maintains records and reports on stocks of all grounds related materials.Will on occasion be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned.Assignment: Full time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Wage: $36.78 per/hr.
