Grounds and Maintenance Staff
The Lorette Golf Course is looking to add to our Grounds and Maintenance Team for the 2025 Golf Season.
We are currently looking to fill four positions.
2 x Full-Time Staff 40 Hours per week
Due to several key projects, we want to achieve this year. Our Grounds and Maintenance team is now hiring and looking for hard-working individuals for full-time and part-time summer positions. Roles start in early April, and hours are available until the end of October as we are a seasonal business.

About Us
Lorette Golf Course is a 9-Hole Golf Facility and Clubhouse Restaurant located just 15 minutes southeast of Winnipeg (a 10-minute drive from the Royal Canadian Winnipeg Mint)
We serve a strong customer base of Members, Public Players, League Participants, and several Tournaments/Banquets throughout the golf season.
Our grounds and maintenance team is committed to continually improving course conditions and exceeding member expectations by providing the highest standards and the best golfing experience daily.
As part of the role, staff will participate in all routine golf course maintenance operations, including but not limited to; operating light and heavy-duty golf mowers/carts, bunker maintenance equipment, weed trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment associated with turf-care operations.
Working Hours
Our Grounds and Maintenance team's working hours are from 530 a.m. until 130 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some rotational weekend work required. Starting times can vary across the golf season due to daylight restrictions. Full-time staff typically work an 8-hour shift.
Qualifications: The successful candidates will be self-motivated, dedicated, reliable, and organized, plus have the following:
• Previous experience in the golf industry or relevant field is an asset
• Has experience in handling machinery as an asset.
• An understanding of the game of golf is an asset
• Strong Attention to detail
• A positive can-do attitude
• The ability to work efficiently with others as well as by yourself.
• Must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driving license.
• Must be able to work some weekends. Roughly once a month on a staff rotation basis. Maximum is a 5-day working week.
• Must be able to work early mornings.
• Must be punctual.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
Compensation
Hourly Wage - Starting at $16.80 per hour with increases based on performance. Grounds and Maintenance staff also receive employee discounts in our Restaurant and Pro Shop, plus free golf.
