Our industry continues to see rapid growth and there has never been a more exciting time to be a part of it! As the Grocery Purchasing Manager you will be an integral part of the entire store. You will be tasked with the following in your role.

Source and purchase grocery products that align with Dad's standards Manage vendor relationships with integrity, organization and long term thinking Analyze sales, margins, turn and inventory levels to make smart, sustainable buying decisions. Maintain weekly budgets and ordering schedule Work closing with our grocery director and store management to understand what's selling, what's not and why Keep systems running efficiently, pricing accuracy, sku's, cost changes, and discontinued items. Help to plan promotions and buy with intention Support new store growth and evolving department needs. Maintain and provide professional relations with suppliers through email, phone and meetings. Merchandising Product Assisting in multiple departments

Grocery Purchasing Manager Requirements

Previous buying, purchasing or inventory management A general understanding of margins, costs of goods and inventory turns. Comfortable working with a POS system, ordering platforms and spreadsheets Excellent communication and relationship building skills Business certificate or equivalent experience 2+ years experience in retail management or like position Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of team members throughout the store.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
