The Opportunity
As the Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator at the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick, you will bring the YMCA's mission to life through creative, compelling visuals that strengthen community connection. You will design impactful print and digital materials that support a wide range of YMCA programs, from childcare, Newcomer connections, health and fitness to community outreach and events.
This is a full-time, on-site position that primarily operates Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work required to support events. You will report directly to the Manager of Marketing and Communications.
This opportunity is ideal for a creative self-starter with strong visual design skills and a passion for making a difference. While graphic design will be your primary focus, youxe2x80x99ll also collaborate on social media campaigns, photo and video content, and broader digital marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities

  • Design branded print and digital materials (e.g., posters, brochures, digital ads, newsletters).
  • Create and maintain templates in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Produce assets for social media, email marketing, and internal campaigns.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials and channels.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop visuals aligned with campaign goals.
  • Support signage, program guides, and other site-specific materials.
  • Contribute to social media planning and content design (stories, carousels, promotions).
  • Capture photos/videos at YMCA programs and events.
  • Organize and manage a digital asset library of visuals.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficient in Canva and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with social media platforms and visual content best practices.
  • Basic photography and videography skills
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), website management, and email marketing platforms.
  • Strong organization and time management; able to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check.
