As a member of the Marketing and Communications Team, the Graphic Design Coordinator is responsible to produce and develop creative assets for publications, advertising, posters, signs, hand-outs, and digital media in support of the Marketing & Communications strategic goals and initiatives. The successful candidate is a proactive, resourceful, and highly organized individual who has the ability to self manage. As they will work on a diverse set of projects in support of the team, they will be required to learn quickly, problem solve, and adapt to change. Responsibilities
Create marketing materials and other collaterals to reflect The Salvation Army Thrift Store, NRO\xe2\x80\x99s brand.
Works with team members to produce layout, concept, design, and production of marketing materials.
Execute visual concepts for social media and branded digital content.
Design print and digital advertisements and other promotional material.
Ongoing design and production work creating social media posts, PowerPoint decks and other Marketing and Communication pieces.
Provide visual recommendations that are aligned with the objective of marketing campaigns.
Facilitates additional media projects in collaboration with the marketing and communciations team (e.g. video, webinars, etc.).
Keeps up to date on the latest trends in visual art and design.
Versatile design and production, digital and print skillset.
Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications.
Skills and Qualifications:
Completion of a college/university program in graphic arts, web design or digital marketing is required.
1-2 years graphic design experience
Post-graduate work in digital media is an asset.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Ability to design print publications.
Knowledge of AODA compliance standards for accessibility.
Experience or training in multimedia design may be required.
