Purpose:
The Summer Student position works in a support function within the relevant department in an administrative and/or a technical capacity. It provides the student with the opportunity to develop relevant skills and experience and receive experiential on-the-job training, guidance and mentorship.
Education:
Must be a current student.
Experience:
Solid design software experience using Adobe Creative Suite is a must, including knowledge of preparation of files for exporting and colour press printing.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of design principles.
Ability to use editing software packages to assist in editing student videos is an asset.
Extremely creative and resourceful with regards to images, fonts and design techniques.
Detail-oriented and accurate proof-reading ability.
Avid sports enthusiast with a strong knowledge of a variety of sports is an asset.
Solid organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable and responsible, quick thinker, adaptable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Notes:
Graphic design portfolio or samples with application is required.
