Our experienced staff can advise you on all your printing needs, from initial concepts thru to the finished delivered product.Minuteman Press (Winnipeg) is seeking an experienced Graphic & Print Technician to join our team. Candidates should be experienced in graphic design, digital print production, bindery/finishing and customer service. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.This all-around position will be responsible for assisting in the production of our client's print, promotional and design projects including, but not limited to, designing print production layouts, illustrations and graphics, production via in-house digital or large format printers, bindery, finishing and fulfillment. Successful candidates will possess excellent organizational and communications skills, demonstrate the ability to multi-task, and be able to adapt to a quick paced deadline oriented workplace.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to create print-ready files using Adobe CS software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Must know how to setup print files for production, including color calibration, imposition, bleeds, crops, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of digital print production systems (digital & large format), production workflows and RIP systems.
  • Must have knowledge of common bindery and finishing equipment, including hydraulic cutters, creasers, folders, paper punch, slitters, stitchers, collators, laminators, etc.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
  • Excellent time-management skills. You should be able to juggle multiple tasks and aggressive daily deadlines with minimal supervision and extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English. Additional language skills are always beneficial.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create print-ready designs (design, proof, impose) based off provided specifications.
  • Produce print jobs via digital production to provided specifications.
  • Finish print jobs utilizing various bindery process to provided specifications.
  • Basic office duties, including answering phones, consulting with customers, maintaining both digital and physical client files.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
