Job Description
The Faculty of Education is seeking one Graduate Student with a strong pedagogical background in mathematics education to support students in mathematics at the primary/elementary level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide tutoring in mathematics education at the primary/elementary level Liaise with instructor to identify student needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate Student in good standing, with preference given to graduate students of the Faculty of Education Expertise in teaching mathematics in the K to 12 system Background and expertise in course content in courses such as Math for Teachers and/or primary/elementary mathematics methods Experience in teaching in higher education Be available during the day or after school to meet with students Prior experience as a tutorial assistant in mathematics
This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the University of Prince Edward Island. Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students.
