Job Description

The UPEI Literacy & Numeracy Outreach Project, within the Faculty of Education, is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant to lead the writing of the final evaluation report for Camp Elemeno 2025. This position involves reviewing and analyzing K-3 assessment data (qualitative and quantitative) and working collaboratively with the Faculty Coordinator and UPEI's Marketing and Communications team to produce a professional, public-facing report that captures the outcomes and impact of the program.
This opportunity is open to all graduate students; however, preference will be given to those enrolled in the UPEI Faculty of Education graduate program with experience in data analysis and report writing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and organize data collected from Camp Elemeno Summer 2025
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data
• Align findings with PEI grade-level outcomes using provincial assessment tools
• Draft the final report in collaboration with the Faculty Coordinator
• Coordinate with UPEI's Marketing and Communications department for report layout, editing, and proofreading

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled as a graduate student at UPEI; preference will be given to those enrolled in the Faculty of Education graduate program
• Strong understanding of PEI curriculum outcomes and primary literacy and numeracy pedagogy
• Familiarity with play-based and arts-based pedagogy is considered an asset
• Demonstrated skill in writing, editing, and synthesizing information
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the University of Prince Edward Island. Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students.
