About Potash
BHP\'s Jansen Potash Project located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP\'s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP\'s global portfolio. Jansen\'s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.
About the Graduate Program
The 24-month graduate program focuses on Developing, Engaging, Managing Change and Achieving Results. It\'s a balanced approach to technical and professional development to ensure you have well-rounded capabilities. This will be the cornerstone of your BHP Career. Graduates will rotate into different teams 2-4 times, to help build technical capabilities, working relationships with new people and leadership skills. You\'ll be guided by our leaders as you work on real projects, offering accelerated learning and career path opportunities. Near the end of the program, you\'ll be provided the choice to stay in the same commodity or seek opportunities elsewhere in BHP to demonstrate all that you have learnt.
Purpose
BHP is looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Resources Engineer to support the team\'s contribution to leading engineering strategies, standards and frameworks that ensure the engineering process and design is optimized and enables safe, efficient construction, commissioning, and operation. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer, Potash will join a global cohort of like-minded graduates who will be supported, motivated, and mentored to develop the skills required to work on real business problems, and given an opportunity to create a career that will have a lasting impact on themselves and on the world.
