Graduate Research AssistantIn the appointment of Graduate Research Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
Organising, supporting and analyzing focus group discussions and interviews supporting meetings, knowledge sharing events and preparing reports. Student research assistants will be allowed the opportunity to participate in authorship on related publications.Dr. Maina is seeking a research assistant to support a research project that seeks to mobilize and engage ethnic minorities in Saskatchewan to understand the HIV risk they face. The project is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The incumbent is expected to organize community consultation meetings, conduct scoping reviews, collect and analyze qualitative data (when necessary). The incumbent should have the ability to work independently and a keen attention to detail is necessary for this position.Your general location of work will be remotely from your own home/office, and you will report to Dr. Geoffrey Maina as your supervisor.Required Number of Hours: 20-30 hours per academic term
Duration of Employment: February 17, 2025 - August 31, 2025.Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
Applicants are required to be enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan. Must have proficiency using Microsoft 360, and strong organization and communication skills. Experience conducting scoping review, focus groups, interviews, and data analysis are considered assets.People with lived experience of being a Migrant and ethnic minority are encouraged to apply.Connection to or knowledge of migrant communities in Saskatoon is an asset.You must be registered in a graduate program.To Apply:
