GHD is seeking a Graduate Operations and Maintenance Technician to join our team to support our ongoing services offerings supporting both internal and external clients through GHD\'s Contamination and Remediation (CAR) business. You will be working with various installations throughout southwestern Ontario, providing responsive, turnkey services to ensure the effective day-to-day performance of ongoing operational systems. Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain various environmental treatment systems located in southwestern Ontario (general geographic area Toronto - London corridor)
• Supporting the development, implementation, and supervising safety programs and initiatives and participate in training and professional development programs offered
• Collecting samples for chemical analysis and completing chain-of-custody documentation for submission to third party laboratories
• Attending the environmental treatment systems on emergency call-outs when required
• Carrying out equipment servicing and preventative maintenance work as outlined in work schedules, reporting issues, concerns, and major repair work as identified by the Operations and Maintenance Project Manager
• Monitoring environmental treatment system performance and making process changes as required, with assistance and direction by GHD engineering support
• Maintain a daily digital field log (tablet tap forms), noting pertinent datasets, operational parameters, and maintenance tasks undertaken, as outlined in the work schedules for each of the environmental treatment systems
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment
• Directing suppliers and subcontractors in the maintenance and/or repairs of these facilities when such works cannot be self-performed
• Interface with onsite client representatives as point-of-contact for services
• Undertake additional construction and operations project duties as they arise within the GHD Construction and Operations business

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications

• G-level drivers license (work occurs at offsite locations, requiring daily travel - GHD vehicle provided for business use)
• Physically fit and consent to participate in GHD Medical Surveillance program (requires annual physical)
• Technical diploma with mechanical or electrical emphasis is strongly preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tool use is strongly preferred
• Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks without continuous oversight
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
