The Role

We are seeking a

passionate English / Social Science Teacher

to join our team. The successful candidate will teach Grades 10-12 international students, deliver engaging lessons, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver lesson plans in English and/or Social Sciences following the Ontario curriculum. Teach English language and literature (reading, writing, grammar, analysis) and/or Social Science courses. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects. Provide feedback and academic guidance to students; communicate results with parents and administration. Incorporate strategies to support diverse learners, including special education practices where appropriate. Maintain an organized classroom conducive to learning. Participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in English, Social Sciences, Education, or related field. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (preferred). Valid

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification

(preferred). Membership in a provincial teachers' association or federation (asset).

Work Environment

Private high school with international students. Fast-paced, detail-oriented setting. Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Compensation & Schedule

Pay:

$28.00-$35.00/hour + Bonus.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday-Friday (in person).
Eligibility

This position is

only open to candidates residing in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area

with valid authorization to work in Canada.
