About the Role

BICC is a private Ontario-inspected high school located in midtown Toronto. We are seeking an experienced

English/Social Science Teacher

to teach Grade 10-12 international students and prepare them for academic success in post-secondary studies.

Responsibilities

Develop lesson plans and course content in line with approved curriculum. Deliver engaging instruction through lectures, discussions, and presentations. Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and exams. Provide feedback to students, parents, and school officials. Support students with individualized academic guidance as needed.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in English or Social Sciences (required). Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (preferred). Valid

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification

(preferred). Membership in a provincial teachers' association or federation (asset).
Personal Qualities

Strong classroom management and communication skills. Organized, dependable, and adaptable. Team player with a student-focused approach.
Work Environment

Private school setting with international students. Fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Combination of sitting, standing, and walking during the workday.
Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, Monday to Friday. Pay: $28.00 - $35.00/hour. Supplemental: Bonus pay.
Eligibility

This position is open

only to candidates residing in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area with valid authorization to work in Canada.
