Position: English/Social Science Teacher - Grade 10-12 High School

Term: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed-term Contract (12 months)

Salary: $25.00-$33.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced English/Social Science teacher to join our private school in Toronto. The successful candidate will teach international students in grades 10-12, preparing them for success in their academic careers.

Responsibilities:

Develop course content and prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations and laboratory, shop and field studies Prepare, administer and correct tests, and evaluate the progress of students Discuss results with students, parents and school officials Assign and correct homework
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in English/Social Sciences (preferred) Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (preferred) Membership in a provincial or territorial teachers' association or federation Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certification (preferred)

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
