We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Golf Pro Shop Manager to oversee daily operations at our prestigious golf course. This role involves managing retail sales, customer service, inventory, and team supervision to ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and excellent communication abilities to maintain the shop's efficiency and profitability. The successful candidate does not need to have Golf Professional Credentials. This position reports directly to the General Manager and/or the Controller. There is a Head Golf Professional/Tournaments Manager that is separate from this position that reports directly to the General Manager and/or Controller. Preference will be given to candidates that have extensive Golf Course experience.
Duties
Manage daily Pro Shop operations, including sales, ordering and selling Golf Pro Shop Inventory to maximize revenue. Working closely with Golf Suppliers.
Supervise staff, including hiring, training, scheduling of Pro Shop & Back Shop Staff.
Assisting HR with the hiring of Associate & Assistant Pros.
Responsible for the Marshals in collaboration with the Head Marshal.
Management of the Pro Shop Cash Handling and ensuring daily balancing is accurate for the Accounting Department.
Coordinate purchasing and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote shop sales and special events in conjunction with the Tournaments Manager and other Management Team Members.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs, and oversee shift management for smooth daily operations.
Assist in budgeting, part time staff payroll hours approvals.
Lead recruiting efforts through interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees collaboratively with HR.

Skills
Proven Golf Course Experience in retail or hospitality environments with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead the Golf Pro Shop.
Proficiency with Golf POS systems, retail inventory control
Leadership qualities including team management, training & development capabilities, and strategic planning.
Customer service excellence with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
Delegating tasks and mentoring Assistant & Associate Golf Pros.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
