WHAT YOU\'LL DO

As a Global Sector Assistant within BCG\'s Consumer Practice Area (PA), your primary focus will be to support the affiliation agenda for the sector across internal marketing and communication activities as well as event planning and execution. These activities will be done in close collaboration with the Sector Director, Sector BD Manager, Retail leadership team and global marketing teams. You will also help to run the alumni program, coordinating events, outreach calendar and maintaining alumni database.

Events:
Working with the Retail Leadership team you will support driving the organization of internal sector regional affiliation meetings and events and also provide internal marketing/comms related support to PA meetings.
In addition, you will help execute defined tasks around preparation and execution of external events / round tables You will also work with other PA\'s and BCG marketing teams to ensure ongoing exchange on best practice examples and innovation opportunities.

Communications:
You will apply working knowledge for publications, marketing, and social media activities, along with the CPA Marketing team. You will support the coordination of a bi-weekly newsletter as well as the sector\'s web presence on bcg.com and other platforms. You will provide support (including on site) for internal sector events, evaluating event success and maintaining the Retail affiliation database, as well as any other relevant distribution lists. In addition, you will own sector platforms such as Slack, Jive etc

Client Liaison:
You will work with the CCOs of priority clients to continue to develop and maintain key client relationships where appropriate.

  • 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • Demonstrated independence and autonomy in internal/external interactions
  • Ability to execute defined tasks that require independent judgment based on processes/ policies
  • Ability to coordinate day-to-day work; apply working knowledge of primary function
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated execution/ organizational/ communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think analytically, adopting out the box thinking
  • Professional, service-oriented, proactive and flexible attitude
  • Ability to perform under pressure and demonstrate presence and maturity even in stressful situations
  • Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG\'s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
