Job Summary: Oversee all ERP, EDI and PLM system requirements for corporate and plant sites on a global basis. Lead the development and implementation of MES solutions and other shop floor systems and focus on the development and enhancement of products to provide our company solutions.
Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in an IT management position in automotive/manufacturing industry
  • BSc/BA in information management, accounting or other business related field. Master\'s degree preferred.
  • Past experience in a managerial role. Departmental leadership, budgeting, forecasting and system analysis skills.
  • Project management experience so that clear specifications are drawn and risks are identified, time lines are followed and projects are delivered within agreed budgets and due dates.
  • In depth understanding of ERP, PLM, and MES systems.
  • Experience in the analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to delegate tasks but not responsibility.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive - but able to recognize and support the organization\'s preferences and priorities
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations
  • Ability to work effectively in and set priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management and work organizational (prioritization) skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to resolve new and unique problems

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure system resources are available and effective for the efficient and accurate use of ERP, PLM, and MES systems.
  • Deliver strategic projects on time and within budgeted resources (financial and time) in support of the annual corporate business plan.
  • Work closely with plant and corporate staff to insure proper data management to insure consistent data integrity.
  • Foster and develop relationships and open communication with all levels of plant and corporate personnel.
  • Advise on efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software purchases.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report them to upper management

Work Environment:
  • 75% office, 25% plant floor (PPE required)

Physical Demands:
  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
  • Travel to domestic and foreign operational and administrative sites.


Health and Safety:
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company

  • Job descriptions

    • Competency Level 1 all systems where personnel need to have a basic understanding of the processes and interactions as determined by the team.

Refresher training will also be included to ensure that any changes listed in 7.2 are part of the continued training or at regular intervals to ensure personnel remain up to date with the requirements.
