Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong skills in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The Estimator will play a vital role in securing new projects and maintaining competitive pricing strategies.

Duties

Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms to achieve optimal project bids. Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Review and analyze project plans to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitive market conditions. Assist in project management tasks related to budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure estimates align with project goals. Support the procurement process by providing accurate cost data for subcontractor quotes and material purchases.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating, with familiarity in using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. Effective project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids and deadlines efficiently. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure precise estimates. Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. A background in construction or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

Pay: $49,723.10-$80,000.00 per year
