Job Summary

Reporting to the Brand and Philanthropy Manager, the Giving & Partnership Coordinator helps coordinate the philanthropic, engagement and stewardship activities of the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. The Coordinator supports the development of organization-wide fund development strategies, and supports the implementation and evaluation the outcomes in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and strategic plans of the Alzheimer Society.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Fund Development & Strategy



Grow and enhance the organization's fund development efforts, including developing and sustaining partnerships, sponsorships, planned giving and bequest management, foundations and government grants, and major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Lead and maintain the implementation of the organization's fund development & engagement model.

Identify and pursue prospective funding opportunities such as grants, foundations, sponsors, and other stakeholder groups.

Donor Relations & Communications



Cultivate the growth of stewardship, solicitation and recognition of stakeholders as appropriate (fundraisers, donors, volunteers, etc.) at all levels of the organization.

Produce fund development collateral materials such as case statements, briefing notes, stewardship letters, and other fundraising resources as required.

Support the implementation of awareness campaigns and events.

Community Engagement & Partnerships



Maintain and expand the organizations database of prospects by conducting research to find new leads.

Forge strong partnerships with like-minded organizations in the community to both build awareness, and strengthen the organization.

Promote and support a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.

Administration & Professional Development



Assist in administrative duties or responsibilities such as reporting, data entry, tax receipting, etc.

Participate in provincial and national activities when requested.

Travel as required

Qualifications:

Must be bilingual in French and English

Experience working with Not for Profit organizations

Knowledge and passion about prospect research and fundraising

Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, with active listening skills

Must be approachable, have solid interpersonal skills and a warm positive attitude

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Takes a highly collaborative approach to work, and is very motivated

Ability to work independently and efficiently, multitask

Understanding of the Canadian business landscape, financials and corporations

Excellent computer skills with knowledge of managing a CRM database

Established organizational skills with strong attention to detail

Sensitive to the impact of Alzheimer's disease on the individual and the family

Must embody the vision and values of the ASNB

Possess a valid NB driver's license and be available to travel

Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,426.94 per year
