Job Description


Reporting to the Scientific Director of APPTA, the Strategy and Partnerships Coordinator will support the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of APPTA\'s operations and lead the future planning and partnerships of the hub as well as support the program execution in support of the Director of Operations and Scientific Director.
Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure future partnerships with relevant stakeholders and organizations as well as maintain existing partnerships. Monitor and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI)for partnership and growth analytics.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of APPTA\'s work including, but not limited to, highlighting funding opportunities, building new ideas for products, programs, events, and promoting a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Spearhead the identification of funding opportunities and writing of grant applications, including finding partners.
  • Lead the identification and recruitment of researchers and other relevant initiatives to populate APPTA\'s research repository.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of APPTA\'s knowledge translation products on all of APPTA\'s platforms (i.e. website, portal, newsletter, podcast), including the Knowledge Translation (KT)blogs, evidence briefs, policy briefs, environmental scans, infographics, and research roundups, as well as virtual and in person events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Scientific Director and/or Manager.
NoteThe successful applicant will primarily work remotely, with occasional presence in-person on-campus to meet client needs and operation requirements.Dalhousie\'s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (business administration, economics, commerce etc.) or a combination of education and practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills for project coordination, planning, and organization and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in computer-related document management (e.g., cloud-based storage systems) and communication programs (e.g., Microsoft Teams,).
  • Bilingual English and French.
Assets
  • Previous experience in health research and/or health or social policy.
