Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated GIS Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and experience with data management and collection. This role is essential for supporting our projects through the effective use of GIS technologies, ensuring that data is accurately captured, analyzed, and presented.

Responsibilities

Utilize GIS software, to create and maintain spatial databases. Conduct data collection in the field to gather geographic information relevant to construction projects. Manage and organize geospatial data to ensure accuracy and accessibility for project teams. Collaborate with engineers and planners to integrate GIS data into project designs using specialized software. Prepare detailed maps, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making processes. Assist in the development of GIS applications and tools that enhance data analysis capabilities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in GIS technology.

Requirements

Comfort in dealing with different software with an understanding of spatial analysis techniques. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
