As a student, you will build lasting relationships with industry leaders, and contribute to work that will build and strengthen your skill sets. Primary duties include:


  • Support the GIS Team in their projects and day to day work.

  • Perform quality checks and quality assurance on data.

  • Conduct fieldwork to support the Enterprise Asset Management project.

  • Assist in schema design, data migration, and system integration work.

  • Assist in web GIS migration from AGOL to Portal.

  • Design web maps, applications, and dashboards.

  • System integration, scripting, ETL, and process automation.

  • Document designs and solutions.

  • Perform geospatial analysis on data and produce analyses and visualizations.

  • Conduct administrative and support tasks as needed.





Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Geographical Information Systems or Geospatial Processing or a related course.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft PowerBI) is required.

  • A Valid class 5 Driver\'s License (or provincial equivalent) and the use of personal vehicle is required.

  • Intermediate proficiency in ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro 2.x, Python, Feature manipulation Engine (FME), Structured Query Language (SQL) will be considered assets.

  • Effective communication and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail is required for success in this position.

  • Excellent organizational, time-management and problem solving skills are also required in this position.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a team setting with minimum supervision.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2023.

Compensation: $26.63 per hour

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.




Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
