About the Role:
The successful candidate(s) would work under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
Greeting visitors
Recording visitor statistics
Cleaning and organizing of Gift Shop
Handling daily sales including cash and POS
Answering the museum phones and directing calls
Yearly inventory
Provide tourism information about the community to museum visitors
Coordinating minirail scheduling and operations
Assist with minirail operations when needed
Candidate Requirements:
Canadian citizen, Permanent resident or have refugee status
Able to work full contract term
Interest in local history/tourism/administration
Fluent in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Access/Publisher)
Criminal Record Check
Ability to lift, move and carry 20 kg.
Ability to function effectively in ever-changing environment and deal with frequent interruptions
Proficient in communication, verbal and non-verbal
Comfortable dealing with the public
