SMS is hiring a GET Specialist for the Fort McMurray area. We are looking for 3-5 years' experience within the industrial /mining industry, strong sales / engineering orientation combined with a sound understanding of the principles and concepts of GET on the large mining equipment. Your ability to operate in a diverse environment with a significant focus on client and customer relations is the key to success in this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing field inspections for wear analysis with assigned customers on heavy equipment and in large industrial environments.
• Establishing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers and manufacturers
• Working alongside Product Support Sales Representatives to solve technical problems and generate customer solutions as a value added supplier
• Maintaining comprehensive data sets and building presentations for customers, manufacturers, and SMS Equipment
• Assisting with coordination of actions and objectives involving multiple departments/stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with GET, undercarriage, and related products and their applications
• Customer service and/or sales experience an asset
• Proficiency with Excel and experience collecting and organizing data is required.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment, mechanical systems and comfort working in large mining and/or industrial projects is an asset.
• Must be self-motivated and proactive in keeping abreast of cutting edge technology and best practice
• Must be computer literate and able to demonstrate proficiency in software applications as required in the performance of job responsibilities
• Position requires the ability to drive company vehicles for extended periods of time
