La personne retenue est responsable de la creation et de la mise en oeuvre de la vision, de la strategie et de l'orientation pour des categories precises de l'ensemble du portefeuille francais, ainsi que du soutien et de l'execution de la strategie globale en matiere de produits et de categories du portefeuille francais. La personne doit veiller a ce qu'Indigo soit un intermediaire respecte en ce qui concerne les idees de lecture et l'achat de livres en francais au Canada. Elle doit executer la strategie en matiere de livres et est responsable de la croissance et de la rentabilite de ses programmes et de certaines categories. Elle est aussi chargee du developpement et de la croissance de l'offre de produits locaux en francais.

RESPONSABILITES PRINCIPALES




Operationnelles

Appuyer le directeur ou la directrice et le gestionnaire du Commerce en francais dans l'execution de la strategie globale et dans la demonstration de faisabilite du commerce en francais. Superviser des programmes individuels et certaines categories, et veiller a l'atteinte des objectifs financiers tout en ameliorant l'experience client de bout en bout. Aider a repondre aux besoins quotidiens de l'entreprise en ce qui concerne l'ensemble du portefeuille. Collaborer avec des equipes interfonctionnelles pour mettre en oeuvre la vision et la strategie d'Indigo. Cerner et prevoir de maniere proactive les attentes et les besoins de la clientele, et faire connaitre les tendances client a l'equipe responsable des livres et aux partenaires interfonctionnels du commerce en francais. Identifier les principales occasions de vente pertinentes pour notre clientele et appliquer la strategie de la categorie en utilisant toutes les ressources disponibles (connaissance de la clientele, culture, medias, catalogues des fournisseurs, tendances de l'industrie, etc.). Chercher activement des produits de marchandise generale qui : + enrichissent l'experience de notre clientele francophone;
+ incitent notre clientele a acheter;
+ augmentent notre concurrentialite sur le marche francophone;
+ ameliorent l'experience client;
+ font progresser la strategie de l'entreprise en matiere de representation de la diversite et des voix sous-representees.
Collaborer avec l'equipe de planification pour optimiser l'efficacite des stocks et accroitre la rentabilite. Collaborer avec l'equipe des stocks pour determiner l'allocation des magasins et developper des plans d'optimisation qui tiennent compte de la strategie de la categorie. Optimiser l'espace numerique et stimuler les ventes du commerce electronique grace a une vaste offre de produits dans toutes les categories. Utiliser les donnees numeriques sur la clientele et la part de marche pour creer une offre de produits en ligne et en magasin qui stimulera les ventes, reduira le taux de rebond et augmentera la conversion en ligne. Etablir et entretenir de bonnes relations avec les fournisseurs afin de trouver de nouveaux produits qui s'inscrivent bien dans le contexte de la marque. Negocier avec les fournisseurs pour maximiser les ventes et les profits et obtenir les meilleures conditions commerciales possibles. Collaborer avec l'equipe responsable de l'experience avec les livres pour etablir des normes de presentation visuelle qui ameliorent l'experience client. Defendre les interets de la clientele en la placant au coeur des processus de conception et de prise de decisions. Chercher des solutions technologiques de pointe que la clientele voudra adopter. Remettre constamment en question le statu quo en reperant des occasions d'amelioration, en decelant les problemes et en les reglant.

Aider tous les secteurs de l'entreprise a mieux comprendre les centres d'interet de la clientele et a mieux comprendre les gens qui achetent des livres. MISSION


The Associate Category Manager, French Business is accountable for creating and implementing the vision, strategy and direction for specific categories within the total French portfolio as well as supporting and executing the overall French portfolio product and category strategy. They will strive to ensure that Indigo is a respected conduit for reading inspiration and French language book purchases in Canada. The Associate Category Manager will execute on Reading strategy and is responsible for driving growth and profitability within their programs and select categories. They are also responsible for the development and growth of the French language local products assortment.

Functional

Support the French business Director and Manager with the execution of the overall French strategy and proof of concept Oversee individual programs and select category, as well as ensure financial goals are met while improving the end-to-end customer experience Support with the day-to-day business needs of the total portfolio Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute Indigo's vision and strategy Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs, and surface customer trends to the Print team and the French business cross functional partners Identify key sales opportunities that will be relevant to our customers and deliver on the Category Strategy using every available resource (customer insights, culture, media, vendor catalogues, industry trends, etc.) Actively source GM products that: + Enrich the experience of our francophone customers

Partner with the planning team to maximize inventory efficiencies and increase profitability Partner with the Inventory Team to develop store allocations and optimization plans that support the Category Strategy Optimize the digital space and drive e-commerce sales through endless aisle assortment across categories Use digital customer and market share data to build retail and online assortment to drive sales, reduce bounce rate, and increase on-line conversion Seek out and maintain positive vendor relationships focusing on finding new and brand appropriate merchandise Negotiate with vendors to maximize sales and profits, and gain best possible terms of engagement Partner with the Print Experience Team to develop visual merchandising standards that evolve customer experience Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes Embrace and seek out technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigo's customers Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them

Qualifications



Experience de travail, formation et diplomes

Diplome universitaire en commerce ou dans un domaine connexe De 3 a 5 ans d'experience en gestion des achats et des categories dans des magasins specialises, des librairies ou le monde de l'edition Experience demontree en leadership

Bilinguisme (anglais et francais). Le membre de l'equipe doit pouvoir communiquer en francais verbalement et par ecrit.
