The Role

Cameco\'s Exploration team is seeking enthusiastic geologists to lead and support its activities on greenfields and brownfields projects in order to achieve discoveries under its long-term exploration framework.

In support of Cameco\'s exploration projects, you will assist in the execution of exploration drill programs in northern Saskatchewan. A significant amount of your time will be spent in the field with your activities directed by a Project Geologist or their designate.

This is a one-year temporary staff position based in Saskatoon, with the possibility of extension

In this role, you will:

• Be in the field and are responsible for geoscientific data collection through drill core logging, drill core sampling, and probing drill holes with geophysical tools
• Create and maintain interpretive cross sections, handling drill core boxes, flagging the position of drill trails and drill holes, and other duties associated with drill programs as assigned
• Collect and record observations while working within a digital environment using specialized software
• Be responsible for the population and management of relevant database files
• Have office-related activities including data compilation and interpretation, as well as assisting the Project Geologist with reporting

Required:

• Bachelor\'s degree in geology or geological engineering
• 0-4 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods of time
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Willingness to work in a team environment

Recommended:

• First Aid, ATV and/or snowmobile training
