These are fixed term positions, 4 months duration, starting in May 2024.The student will provide geological services on surface, focused on core logging and sample marking with potential for field mapping. The student will also get exposure to surface drill site safety and inspections, drill log and analytical QAQC, geotechnical logging, and possible exposure to geoscience data entry and data integration, application of geophysical surveys, drillhole planning and drillhole deviation control.Additionally, in this position you will:

• Attend and participate in daily safety line up meetings, and monthly safety meetings and required safety training
• Communicate observed lithologies and estimated grade of ore intersections to project leads
• Identify, analyze and recommend opportunities for safety, productivity and cost improvements
• Handle and package drill core and drill core samples
• Contribute to daily maintenance of core shed and equipment
• Occasional travel to surface drill sites within the Sudbury area may be required
• Current schedule is 5 days per week Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (excluding recognized holidays)
