With a broad range of staff experience and state-of-the-art instrumentation, we provide cross-analytical solutions for the Environmental, Energy, Mining, Transportation, Industrial, Agri-food and Life Sciences sectors.Geologist - Calgary, AB:AGAT is seeking a full-time mineralogist for X-ray mineralogical analysis and interpretation in our Calgary mineralogy laboratory. The role is ideal to recent graduates as well as more experienced mineralogists.Responsibilities:
- Completing XRD analysis and quantitative interpretation
- Communication with other team members and project manager
- Project Coordination within the lab
- R&D work and the potential to publish and present at technical conferences
- Strong technical writing skills are preferred
- Knowledge of X-ray Diffraction and experience with Rietveld refinement is a must.
- Knowledge of other mineralogical analysis methods (XRF, SEM, QEMSCAN, IR-Spec, Petrography, Raman, etc.)
