Check us out www.dlf.com (Global) & www.dlfpickseed.ca (Canada) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports, including balance sheets, and profit and loss statements. Assist to create new reports and processes to meet the changing needs of the business.

  • Keep the Manager Financial Reporting well informed
  • Prepare and process daily deposits through banking website (including posted cheques)
  • Processing credit/debit card payments
  • Semi-monthly bank reconciliation preparation
  • Issue stop payments when necessary
  • First approver for EFT and Wire payment processing
  • Administer Petty cash for Lindsay location, including monthly reconciliations
  • Ensure reconciliations are maintained on all key control accounts on a monthly basis to support the monthly financial packages
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of monthly internal financial package supporting documents
  • Prepare all Government and banking statistical reporting
  • Maintain prepaid expense accounts, including property taxes and insurance
  • Compile monthly financial reports and distribute to appropriate personnel
  • Prepare MST/PST/GST/QST/SST returns
  • Additional tasks as required by Manager, Financial Accounting
  • Printing and mailing customer statements monthly
  • Assist in preparation of customer refund cheques
  • Support credit collections
  • Visa statement reconciliation and monthly maintenance
  • Promote a safe, healthy work environment by maintaining a zero-tolerance standard of reducing risk of threat or injury; in compliance with legislative requirements and Company Policy
Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Possess a solid understanding of general accounting principles and concepts and various software applications \xc2\xb7 4 years of accounting work experience \xc2\xb7 Post-secondary education in accounting or business-related programs \xc2\xb7 Excellent numerical, verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization skills with attention to detail. \xc2\xb7 Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects \xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Microsoft Office \xe2\x80\x93 Excel & Word \xc2\xb7 Navision software experience an asset Compensation and Benefits: This position comes with a competitive compensation plan that includes a base salary, benefits, Group RRSP option with company matching program. Compensation will be based on experience.
