ANANDAM is seeking a part time General Manager to support the organization's growth and development across the full spectrum of our activities. ANANDAM works through collaborative co-leadership structures. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic and inspired about independent dance and public art, and is excited to work in a collaborative environment that centres artists, audiences, and cultural programming. The General Manager will be responsible for managing the operations of the organization in collaboration with the core leadership team to evolve, support, and sustain the artistic development and operational systems of the organisation.
Class: Part-time, contract
Salary: $24,000/annum
Term: 20 hours a week, 10 month contract with option to renew, leading to FTE position after 10 mos

Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications
2-4 years experience in Arts Management, Artistic Production or related positions
Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks, Excel, CADAC, government funding platforms, Google suite, Zoom, and also has strong communication skills and strong writing skills for formal grant applications
Direct experience in touring logistics nationally and internationally
Knowledge of, and engagement with, the cultural sector in Toronto/Ontario/Canada
Knowledge of not-for-profit and charitable organizational structures and procedures
Knowledge of evolving equity and accessibility contexts, conversations, and practices within the cultural sector
Knowledge of multiple practices, aesthetics, and communities within the dance sector
Main areas of responsibility and activities
Administrative:
Accounting and bookkeeping (Quickbooks)
Tracking and processing of invoices and payments to artists/expenses (ongoing)
Budget generation (operating and project budgets in conjunction with core staff)
Budget Tracking
CADAC maintenance and updating (for operating applications)
Annual Audit (prep and completion in communication with accountant)
Maintain organization's financial records for audit purposes and beyond
Ensuring taxes are filed annually each year (Dec 31 deadline)
Ensures HST Return is filled (annually)
Generating and submitting T4As (annually)
Managing donations through Canada Helps; creation of donation receipts when necessary
Support with operating applications (OAC, TAC, CCA and foundations)
Knowledge of Squarespace (basic news updates) and Mailchimp (newsletter)
Organizational calendar updates
Administrative communications with collaborators/other organizations
Contract development and administration
Attendance at company events
Preparation, execution, and tracking of all invoices and deposits; responsible for generating and tracking outgoing invoices and paying incoming invoices
Experience with international payment platforms (xoom, Paypal) is an asset
Strategic Planning and Project Management:
Developing and planning seasonal activities of the organization in collaboration with core staff involving budgeting and scheduling elements
Work with core staff to identify strategic and critical paths for organisational growth and sustainability
Project management in relation to seasonal activities
Reporting at Board meetings and AGM as well as monthly summary reports to Board
Attendance at various meetings with collaborators and presenters
Responsible for philanthropic revenue generation/strategies in collaboration with staff and Board
